I finished the baby hat but I'm not celebrating. I realized halfway through the decreases that I wasn't following the pattern correctly (I've got to pay more attention to the *!).
I carried on anyway and Elsie very kindly sewed it together for me. But, knowing that it was for a gift and NOT perfectly done, I decided to give it to a friend who works at the pediatric wing at the Markham Hospital. Better that a needy little kid gets to wear it rather than the vultures who scour Value Village stores around the city.
The good news is that I know exactly how to follow the pattern now AND I know it won't take me long to finish. I'll still need Elsie's help to sew it together though...
